Me, I'm happy to wait til they do a first revision. I guess I'm just not as geeky about handheld devices as others here. Hell, the only iPods I've ever 'owned' are Jilli's cast offs. I use the term 'owned' because I haven't actually used it.

Slinks away before the tech-heads try to lynch him.

Coding and Sleeping

I can relate. I have a MP3 player I hardly ever used despite being all loaded up with my audio stuff. I also have a cast off iPod that I haven't even gotten out of the box.

Yep. My first reaction is definitely WANT, but I'll be waiting until my Apple person tells me the bugs are gone.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So far I've managed to avoid cellphone contracts (I use a pay-as-you-go phone, as I don't use it that much). So at the moment I won't bite....

I say that if ND doesn't come here and say he's not getting one, that means he is getting one.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Yep. Also whether it's an international phone or not -- I'm not spending $500 on something I can't travel with.

Engadget reported it was quadband, so it would definitely work abroad. Wifi too, to boot.

I can't even.

I'd think Kristin's message above means that ND is getting two ...

That device does look awesome, I wonder what the deal will be for Canada. I just bought a new iPod too, because my old 40G one was in a bag with a broken bottle of coffee.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

I just wrote about this in Bitches, but it probably belongs here.

I don't care about the fact that it has a small iPod built in. I still want a nice big video iPod for all my music etc. I just want to replace the windows mobile phone with a phone that uses a Mac interface! So yeah, Mac is going to (as usual) make a fortune off of me.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I just was reading that. Yep the new iPhone is running OSX. Hmmm. Harbinger of more embedded OSX items?

The AppleTV is kinda' cool too - for its price, anyway ($299). The more video you have in iTunes, the more it makes sense to buy an AppleTV to display it on your TV. Currently I use my iPod to do that, but it's somewhat of a PITA and it's only at regular resolution, right? Plus my 60 GB iPod no longer has space for any video.
