Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I've been told that Office 2007 is easier for people who start with 2007, but for me? I didn't have the time. Even if it had been unlocked on my system I'd still have stuck with XP.

it is useful if something won't uninstall or if a program has added something to a MS program and that piece won't go away even when the program has been uninstalled.

Now that I look, I have Paint Shop Pro 7 listed, but it's just a bunch of empty directories. I guess it would take out the registry entries for me, huh? Let me grab it.

Huh. No, it doesn't see Paint Shop Pro either. What a mess.

Our wings are not tired

I'm planning on pushing for the 27" iMac when the time comes.

That's what my Magic Mouse came with. It is a very nice machine.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Does the Magic Mouse have a middle mouse button gesture?

I don't believe it does. Right and left mouse button, and current 4 way scrolling gestures as well as left and right two finger swipe gestures. I wouldn't be surprised to see more gestures added as time goes on.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

What video outputs does your laptop have? What model is it? What inputs do you have left available on your HD TV? Are you willing to get a switching device if you're out of digital inputs (and have digital output from the laptop)?

so many questions that i...may not have the answers to!

it has the S-video and also has the output that you can hook up an external monitor to. it's a Toshiba Satellite A305. the only input i'm using on the tv is the single HDMI cable.

Hey. New board.

Yeah, it sounds like the same gesture set as the laptop trackpads, which I've enjoyed playing with already.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So.... check out xkcd, for a dose of nostalgia: [link]

Not the strip (though that's OK) but the site itself has gone for a little redesign. Boing Boing sez:

T sez, "I know you folks follow xkcd as good alpha-geeks should, so you won't have missed today's dose of nostalgically eyeball-searing brilliance [ed: a tribute to the soon-to-be-shut-down Geocities]. Just wanted to make sure you took an extra couple minutes to "view source" on the site's "redesign" though. Well worth poring over the lovingly crafted neolithic HTMLer in-jokes there. <FONT COLOR="#88FF88" STYLE="FORTHRIGHT">srsly.</FONT>"

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="QBASIC">IF $BROWSER = "IE" THEN GOTO 50</SCRIPT>

Heh.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

If the point is to watch Hulu on your TV, don't forget you'll also need audio.
