Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Shiny! A portable media player right out of the 70s

The MyRacer Q10 is a portable media player that doesn't do too much more than any other PMP, but what makes it stand out to us is its stylings. Looking straight out of the 70s, it's got a great volume knob that sticks down below the rest of the device.

Despite its retro looks, it still supports all the major formats you'd expect, such as DivX, Xvid, MP3, AAC and WMA, and it has 4GB of storage and a 3-inch touchscreen. No word on price, but expect it to cost 2009 dollars, not 1970s dollars.

has anyone owned cd duplicators? It looks like we will doing more and more musicals here, and making 20 copies of a disc is time consuming, and probably not the best thing for my laptop's SuperDrive. I'm wondering if anyone has used a burner/printer, where you put in the original, and a stack of blanks, and it copies the original, and prints on the top side. Also thinking about the towers, with 1:3 or 1:5 duplicate ratio, where it's a bunch of CD-R's in a tower. I'm also debating spending the extra couple bucks to make it a DVD burner.

Anyhow, just wondering if anyone has any experience. It's a chunk of change.

omnis, what about an external cd drive? wouldn't that be cheaper and save wear and tear on your laptop?

sure, but wouldn't speed things up any. One at a time with a cast of 20 is about 90 minutes for a disc that is 28 minutes long.

Our wings are not tired

Yeah, but it's also about time. Being about to do 5 at once seems to be the best option to me. I'd also go for the DVD burn as well. If you need to do 20 at a time I'd say that the 1:5 ratio is the way to go.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I have a Microboards CD/DVD duplicator tower (1:10) at work, and it is flaky as hell. Coaster city. That said, when it works, I can make 10 hourlong DVD dubs in about 5 minutes.

I installed Snow Leopard today, but luckily I don't have any guest accounts on my laptop. I haven't taken the time to explore the new features yet, so really, it doesn't seem any different so far.

Google Wave uses Firefly quotes in their error messages.

I don't even like Firefly and I'm filled with love for the Wave by this.

The first sentence of this CNN article on the Iphone could be from a late night Showtime program with a minor word change:
