sure, but wouldn't speed things up any. One at a time with a cast of 20 is about 90 minutes for a disc that is 28 minutes long.

Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
Yeah, but it's also about time. Being about to do 5 at once seems to be the best option to me. I'd also go for the DVD burn as well. If you need to do 20 at a time I'd say that the 1:5 ratio is the way to go.
I have a Microboards CD/DVD duplicator tower (1:10) at work, and it is flaky as hell. Coaster city. That said, when it works, I can make 10 hourlong DVD dubs in about 5 minutes.
I installed Snow Leopard today, but luckily I don't have any guest accounts on my laptop. I haven't taken the time to explore the new features yet, so really, it doesn't seem any different so far.
Google Wave uses Firefly quotes in their error messages.
I don't even like Firefly and I'm filled with love for the Wave by this.
The first sentence of this CNN article on the Iphone could be from a late night Showtime program with a minor word change:

Not sure if folks know about this. I've been having an issue here at the office that the only network printer is a PCL one, and Mac doesn't play well with that. But there is GutenPrint for the Mac: [link]

Hello Ye Gods of Tech.
I have a recommendation question. My bff's mom needs a new laptop and is an unmovable PC user. If she were Mac like me, I'd have confidence in pointing her to what to buy but, since my powers of persuasion failed and she's unlikely to convert in her mid-70's, I need guidance.
Her needs are minimal: email, surfing and low-tech games. She believes letters are best hand written and, therefore, does not even use a word processor. Due to space issues, she uses the laptop as a desktop, so does not need wireless.
I'm leaning toward a Dell Inspiron 17 (she likes the bigger screen). Ease of use and reliability are more important than price.
What would you suggest?
Oh, and while I'm asking...I'm getting ready to offer Skype as a session option for clients who would normally do their therapy sessions on the phone.
I've never used a web camera and am wondering if there is one that is better than others for this. I already have a Snowball microphone, but don't know if that would be the best option either.
Obviously, sound and image quality are important. If it isn't really good, I might as well stick to the phone.
What should I buy?
