A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

It's a cool one that plugs into the lighter, but holds the dock up so that you can see it/manipulate it easily. It has a system of interlocking pieces so that you can tilt it up, down, driver's side, passenger side.

I had the same one (until I sold my car). It was a fun design.

Electromagnetic candy! - Stark

I have a tapedeck adapter (my car is 10 years old, before carrying MP3 players in the car was commonplace); it plugs into the dataport on the bottom of the iPod (or iPhone) and it's pretty good sound (a little tape-hissy, but really...I'm not expecting audiophile silence in the CAR) - and if I want to, it also has a cigarette-lighter power adapter module.

Alas, it's all pointless in the now-dead car. Poor EEEgor.

I much preferred the tape adapter for the iPod than the FM transmitter, but the new car didn't have a tape deck.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Steph,

I got an aftermarket solution whereby I got a cable installed in the back of my car stereo that connects to my ipod.

Crutchfield is the place where I bought the kit online. If you are braver than I, you might be able to install it yourself. I paid an installer to do it.

Would this help your dad?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I don't think so, since I have my permissions set to only allow downloads of the original images to logged-in friends & family. (It doesn't look from the description like you have to log in to your Flickr account from within Flump.)

But thanks for looking! I think I'll just send him a DVD with all the pics on it instead.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

My dad wants to know if there's a way he can batch download from one of my Flickr sets

Jessica, I found this reference to Flickr downloadr, but I haven't tried it myself.

Someone will be sure to post the iThing news when it happens, yes? I don't have the energy today to follow a liveblog.

Thanks for the flickr links, guys - there doesn't seem to be a way to do it without giving my dad the keys to my account, which I'm not wild about. A DVD is easy enough.
