I will be sticking with me new Treo 680 and my normal iPod video for the foreseeable future, but that is PURTY.

I'd want to hear how well the interface really works. It looks cool, but sometimes buttons are a good thing. This is all theoretical for me though as I wouldn't really use the thing enough to buy it.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Time to start the betting pool on Who Will Be The First Buffista To Order One.

I put 5 Siamese on ND, and for good measure, 2 Sphynxes on tommyrot and 2 Maine Coons on Scola.

I won't be able to get one for a while. I just signed a 2-year Sprint contract a few months ago.

Re: Battery Life. A quote from Macworld -

"The iPhone features a battery that lasts for five hours of talk time, video or Web page browsing, or 16 hours of audio playback."

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

5 hours of talk or video would be ok for me - but DH would be chargeing the thing constantly - he lives on the phone.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Yep. Also whether it's an international phone or not -- I'm not spending $500 on something I can't travel with.

Me, I'm happy to wait til they do a first revision. I guess I'm just not as geeky about handheld devices as others here. Hell, the only iPods I've ever 'owned' are Jilli's cast offs. I use the term 'owned' because I haven't actually used it.

Slinks away before the tech-heads try to lynch him.

I can relate. I have a MP3 player I hardly ever used despite being all loaded up with my audio stuff. I also have a cast off iPod that I haven't even gotten out of the box.

Yep. My first reaction is definitely WANT, but I'll be waiting until my Apple person tells me the bugs are gone.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So far I've managed to avoid cellphone contracts (I use a pay-as-you-go phone, as I don't use it that much). So at the moment I won't bite....

I say that if ND doesn't come here and say he's not getting one, that means he is getting one.
