Does anyone have any experience running Quicken for Mac off a flash drive?

I'm taking over the accounting for my coop and want to make our bookkeeping as portable as possible.

[eta: I've found several sites that say Quicken will not run off a USB drive, but they are all talking about the Windows version.]

Does anyone have a suggestion for a good portable hard drive? I want a back up for uploading music.
For a back up drive, I'd want one that has a 5 year warranty on the drive, not a one year. It will cost a bit more, but something to consider. A lot of the Segates have 5 year warranties.

Apple Touchscreen Netbook to Launch in October at $800?

Taiwanese news site InfoTimes reports [translation] that Apple is slated to debut its long-rumored netbook this October. Taiwanese companies Foxconn, Wintek, and Dynapack have reportedly received orders from Apple related to the manufacturing of the new device.

The report notes that Apple is looking to adopt a 9.7-inch touchscreen for the new netbook, slightly smaller than the 10.1- or 10.2-inch screens typically used at the large end of the netbook range.

...

Exact pricing remains unknown at this time, but the inclusion of a touchscreen and Apple's history of refusing to compete at the lowest price points suggest that the netbook may be priced at around $800.

Art Crawl!!!

Question: about, oh 2 hours ago, while running the installation for McAfee I got a message that said, "Please ait while Windows configures McAfee VirusScan Enterprise" and the time remaining said 30 seconds.

Do I need to re-install since it's been hanging for 2 hours?

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Try ctrl-shift-esc to bring up the Task Manager and see if it is still running any processes?

Anything specific to McAfee? There may be a lot of processes listed, but probably few that are very active, using much % of system resources.

Under the applications tab, is the McAfee installer showing as "not responding," or at all?

You might want to Ctl-Tab through your application, in case there's an open dialog box (that you have to answer) under something.
