Is there a "get rid of the friggin conversatons" in Gmail or at least a "decide for yourself which email belongs in conservsation" add on. It seems like google has some sort of ideological marriage with automatic grouping into conversations with no ability to override.

Actually, I find that problem to work both ways, Gar -- if someone in a conversation replies, and their mail program ads a "Re:" to the subject line, Gmail will sometimes split the conversation into two unconnected threads, and it becomes hard to keep track of it.
As much as I loved Gmail at first, I am becoming disillusioned with it. My Gmail inbox is now hopelessly bloated, and I fear that nothing but two solid months of cleaning and categorizing them will ever sort that stuff out.

Is there another email program that would not cause bloatation?
