Trillium is a good Windows chat device supporting multiple clients; alternatively there is meebo.com, which does the same from an internet platform.

Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
when I had a pc, I used trillium.
Finally finished updating my iPod Touch to 3.0. What a chore. I'm regretting spending the $9.95. Multiple restores, multiple reboots, multiple syncs, over four hours to get it to work.
If DH's aunt who is pissed off about the transition knew how to use email, I would forward her that link!
Cool.
(this post was really about trying copy/paste with 3.0 on my old iPhone)
Google Voice May Open to All Today
The Today Show takes a look at Google Voice this morning (as we did three months ago), with correspondent Janet Shamlian offering a very generalized overview of its call filtering/forwarding and voicemail transcription features. We're keeping an eye on it, but Google Voice's login page is still pegged with "Coming soon" and "Existing GrandCentral users." Still, Shamlian confirmed that Google Voice would be "available today, nationwide," so stay tuned if you're eager to grab a number and try it out.

That's Trillian, in case you try to google it. Unless there is also one called Trillium.
Windows 7 pricing news.
Maybe this weekend I should buy some upgrades. I have one copy of Vista and three copies of Windows XP. I also have a questionable copy of Windows XP (I have a version in a box, but it's not the one that's on the computer.). All the others are pretty straight up, wait no, there's another one like that. I have a license but it's not the one that's installed.
That is to say I have licenses for four copies of Windows and four computers, but for ease of installation issues, they don't match up one for one.
Hmmm... That is a good deal. Maybe I'll buy one upgrade to try it out on a secondary PC.
