Windows 7 pricing news.

Maybe this weekend I should buy some upgrades. I have one copy of Vista and three copies of Windows XP. I also have a questionable copy of Windows XP (I have a version in a box, but it's not the one that's on the computer.). All the others are pretty straight up, wait no, there's another one like that. I have a license but it's not the one that's installed.

That is to say I have licenses for four copies of Windows and four computers, but for ease of installation issues, they don't match up one for one.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Hmmm... That is a good deal. Maybe I'll buy one upgrade to try it out on a secondary PC.

Download the RC version to try it out. It should be available for a few more days. Go to the official Windows 7 website and you should be able to get it from there, though you might need a Live account to do it.

The upgrades are preorder so the deal will probably be over before you can try it out.

One weird thing Vista keeps doing to me. It keeps thinking every folder has music. I open up a folder with all text and word documents and it shows a listing with Artist, Album, Rating, and Track number instead of type, size, and date modified. Weird. Easily fixable, but weird.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

That's Trillian, in case you try to google it. Unless there is also one called Trillium.

Yeah, this. I wrote the other post in a hurry and didn't double-check my fingers.

Wow! Even on 1st Gen iPhone, I notice safari is faster, and typing smoother. I'm thinking this phone will last a lil while longer, even thou the geek in my wants the GPS & compass, and voice command stuff.

I didn't see this in any articles on 3.0. If you hold down on a link, it pops up some options, including open in a new page!! Woot!!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So my iPod touch suddenly developed a whole bunch of flickering white horizontal lines that cover the whole display. (I haven't updated anything on it recently.)

Is the display toast? (It seems to work fine otherwise.)
