Oooh! For DTV, this gov site has a google map that you plop your addy in, then it lists the stations you should be able to get, you click on them, and then the map shows what direction they are from your house, so you know which way to aim the antenna! Very cool: [link]
If DH's aunt who is pissed off about the transition knew how to use email, I would forward her that link!
(Because of the switchover delay and the subsequent wonkiness of where digital & analog signals were broadcasting, she lost her PBS reception in the bedroom for several weeks. Was not happy. She has since regained PBS but lost ABC.)
Favorite windows multi-chat thing? I use Adium on my mac, but have no idea what to use on a windows machine, since I never install anything on work computers (don't chat on them, use the AIM for web if I'm traveling with it). BUT I just got a netbook (wheee!) for traveling with (whee!) and whole point is that I can go to things and do things I wouldn't on the work 'puter (wheee!) so...suggestions?
Trillium is a good Windows chat device supporting multiple clients; alternatively there is meebo.com, which does the same from an internet platform.
when I had a pc, I used trillium.
Finally finished updating my iPod Touch to 3.0. What a chore. I'm regretting spending the $9.95. Multiple restores, multiple reboots, multiple syncs, over four hours to get it to work.

Google Voice May Open to All Today
The Today Show takes a look at Google Voice this morning (as we did three months ago), with correspondent Janet Shamlian offering a very generalized overview of its call filtering/forwarding and voicemail transcription features. We're keeping an eye on it, but Google Voice's login page is still pegged with "Coming soon" and "Existing GrandCentral users." Still, Shamlian confirmed that Google Voice would be "available today, nationwide," so stay tuned if you're eager to grab a number and try it out.
