Techno hivemind question. If I have a DVD of a concert, is there any way I can download/extract the audio so I can load it as an iTunes playlist?
I'm thinking about buying something very expensive. Maybe an antelope.

Both of them have iPod settings for export.

For the sort of things I normally do, MPEG Streamclip is more useful, but Handbrake is probably the more user-friendly of the two.
[eta they're free, so there's no harm in downloading both!]

Barb,
there may be a step you need to do BEFORE Handbrake, etc. If the DVD is protected, you'll have to rip the DVD first. Then Handbrake can do its thing.
I don't have recommendations for DVD ripping software for Macs.

Okay, I keep having FAIL with my earbuds (mostly that when I work out, I sweat like a farm animal and then the earbuds fall out, plus I think I have abnormally narrow ear canals, because the earbuds never seem to really fit anyway), so I am going to order these. Excellent.

Mac the Ripper is free and decent. t edit Wait, there might not be a Leopard-compatible version of Mac the Ripper. What OS do you have, Barb?

It had me download VLC, which I used to have on one of my old machines. Now it seems to be doing its thing. We'll see.
