"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hahahahah!

Ha.

Okay, not helpful. But at least it's better than when my feral kittens went in the hole in my bass amp. It was big enough for them to get in, and big enough for my hand to go in, but not big enough for my hand to come out with the kitten in it. And they knew it. And it was soft and dark in there. Perfect.

Anyway, what kind of subwoofer is it, exactly? And where are the eggs? (The answer to your question may be, probably not. I'm just warning you.)

Art Crawl!!!

How did the eggs get there?

I mean, if they went in - won't they come out?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Silly sumi! The Easter bunny laid them there.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Jess, I have my doubts that there's a way to open the woofer so that it closes again. Unless there are obvious screws (which I doubt), it's joined like a cabinet.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

There's kind of a hole in the front that's just big enough for a child's arm to go in, and then a big empty space inside for sound to reverberate and for things to get lost in.

It's the one that came with this AV reciever:

but I can't find a picture of it online just now.

There *are* screws in the back, but not ones that look like they'd open it up.

HA! Drew gave me that exact receiver when he replaced it in his own system. He kept the speakers though. He has that same subwoofer in his house, so he could tell you if it's openable.

Our wings are not tired

Yes, it would appear that I do. When I head back over to the house from the studio later I'll take a look at it.

Thanks! Apart from the eggs (which he's already forgotten about), I'd love to know what else is in there that I don't know about...

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Okay folks, I need your help. I would like to investigate getting a media center, but I'm not sure what the pros and cons are to various options. I really want the set top device that will let me play netflix streaming video, but I would LOVE a unit to play them all: netflix, avi video files and hulu. Is there such a thing? Will boxee do this? What do I need to have boxee functionality linked to my tv?

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

It's probably overkill, but I love my MacMini.
