A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

It's probably overkill, but I love my MacMini.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Ditto, especially with the new Hulu desktop application that they released last week.

Hey. New board.

As far as I know, le nubian, there's not a simple set-top device that does all of those. An X-box media center setup comes close but I'm pretty sure Hulu has shut it out. To really get all of them at this stage you'll need a full-fledged computer like the aforementioned Mac Mini.

Personally, I adore the Netflix set-top box and use it so much more often than I would remember to stream netflix on a computer, even one hooked to the TV. Which is why I almost never use Hulu, despite regularly hooking my computer to the TV, because I tend to forget about it a little. Interface, as Tivo proved, matters, and a dedicated box is better at interface than any computer setup.

That said, if Hulu would officially support Boxee(or at least allow it) then my opinion might change.

Personally, I'm still hoping for eventual Hulu support on the Roku set-top box that we still call the Netflix box for lack of a better name. Amazon-on-demand was a decent addition, but not something I'm going to use much. Hulu would be better.

There are Hulu/X-Box rumors flying around, but nothing definite yet.

Hey. New board.

In terms of set-top boxes, the Xbox 360's disadvantage is its size. Both the Roku box and a full Mac Mini are significantly smaller and cuter.

It would be very cool if TiVo supported Hulu. Netflix via TiVo is excellent.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Bwahaha!

I'm also rather fond of its answer to "What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen African swallow?"

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Since y'all are talking about Hulu, I have a question. Does Hulu crash on Macs? Or am I doing something wrong?

Well, Flash in general sucks on the Mac, and Hulu is particularly resource-intensive.

How old is your Mac? Does it have an Intel or PowerPC CPU? How much memory do you have?
