You know what? It's the hard-cover version of the trade paper version that came out last January. So, it's actually the comics that came out in 2005. (I was confused.) I thought that they were enjoyable. This is a special edition with extra stuff:
SERENITY: THOSE LEFT BEHIND
Written by Joss Whedon and Brett Matthews, art by Will Conrad, colored by Laura Martin, cover by Adam Hughes.
Dark Horse's biggest hit of 2006 is now available in a special-edition hardcover! Joss Whedon, the pop-culture mastermind behind Buffy the Vampire Slayer, bridged the gap between his cult-hit Firefly TV series and his Serenity motion picture with this three-issue miniseries.
Penned by Whedon and Brett Matthews, a Firefly show writer, the ragtag crew takes on a scavenger mission with the promise of a big payoff. Only too late do they realize the gig is orchestrated by an old enemy eager to remake their acquaintance.
Sporting a new cover by Adam Hughes, this oversized collection shows off the work of penciller Will Conrad and colorist Laura Martin, and the array of pinups by phenomenal guest artists. In addition, over a dozen backup pages delve into the work and art behind the scenes -- original material assembled especially for this hardcover edition.
96 pages, $19.95, in stores on Nov. 14.

AH! okay! I was confused about why I hadn't heard of a new Serenity series seeing how I spent the last year working in a bookstore that has comics (although it's not a traditional comic book store) owned by Whedon enthusiasts.
Well, I'm pretty sure that there are supposed to be new FF/Serenity comics. They just haven't happened yet.
Cover of SPN Origins #5.
Does this mean new art? *hopes*
Oh, did we already see #5?
This is what comics continuum says for #5:
Written by Peter Johnson, art by Matthew Dow Smith, cover by Dustin Nguyen.
Here are the credits for #2:
Written by Peter Johnson; Art by Matthew Dow Smith; Cover by Tim Sale
So - we're just getting different cover artists.
#3: Written by Peter Johnson; Art by Matthew Dow Smith; Cover by Ryan Sook (no cover image)
The cover artist for #4 is the same as #5 but I couldn't find a way to link it separate from the description.
Dustin Nguyen (who is NOT the Dustin Nguyen from 21 Jump Street, I must stress) does awesome covers.
I admit, I kind of wish we could get, say Sale on the interiors, but Johnson's not bad.

Thank you. Because I was wondering.
That's a gorgeous cover. I love that John.
