Huh. DC comics took advantage of the COVID shutdown to suddenly break Diamond Comics 25-year monopoly on comics distribution.

I saw that, Tom. That is a serious shake up.
I had a sneaking suspicion when Random House created their own graphic novel division and were carrying already carrying a lot of DC kids graphic novels and titles.
I know a lot of retailers are upset about this, but Diamond has always sucked pretty hard for retailers, right?

This has been an issue since I worked at Fantagraphics. But the bigger issue is that back in the 80s there was more than one distributor so there were options. When it all collapsed down to Diamond's monopoly that's when it got problematic.

Sucked hairy donkey balls.
Has anybody else been reading The Immortal Hulk? It's a really fascinating read.
I have been reading a lot of MCU fanfic and was reading some that based Hawkeye off the comicbook and I got interested in that version of Clint Barton and I ended up getting the first trade from the library. Which had a little thing about the Young Avengers, and now I want to read that...
I figure as long as I'm just getting trades from the library I'm ok and I want fall back into the OH MY GOD I HAVE TO BUY EVERYTHING thing that happened the last few times I tried to buy comicbooks.
askye, the Matt Fraction run on Hawkeye? SO GOOD. And I love Kate Bishop so much. I can’t wait until the Hawkeye show on Disney+.
Yep it is the Fraction run. I kept seeing that tag and I liked the Clint characterizations better so I finally gave the comics a shot. Also the references to the tracksuit Draculas and I wanted to check that out. The stories I read weren't overusing the word bro, bro...
Kate is awesome. Reading this definitely makes me more excited about the upcoming series.
Oh yeah. Kate Bishop is blessed to have been written well by almost everyone who's had a book starring her. (The Kelly Thompson series was a bit too wacky sitcom-ish for me, but it didn't seem badly written.)
