Huh. I picked up all the back issues of All New, All Different Avengers. In issue 6, they're fighting a variant of Kang the Conqueror, who's playing with the pasts of people and affecting them in the current world. After the fight, Tony is wondering if Kang did it to anyone else other than the current Avengers people.
So is that what they're pulling with Steve Rogers? I don't remember the writer's interview where he said it wasn't brainwashing and other things. Still obnoxious.
So is that what they're pulling with Steve Rogers?
That's the prevailing fan theory.
The writer's interview, where he said "No, really, this is the way it's always been, no, really" will be even more cheesy and annoying if this is what they do.
And yes, Marvel went the cheesy route. "Psych!" says the smirking writer. "Foul!" cry the annoyed readers. "Oh, we all knew that was happening, and you people who are upset just don't understand comics," say the 'splainers.
Yeah, I'm sick of bullshit "twists" and writers/producers/whatever bald-faced lying about them.
