"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Those look... Kind of awful.

Yeah, I think halfway through it they started to feel like maybe an Onion article.

But then I liked Ms. Marvel and Capt. Marvel.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Ummm... Anyone here going to SDCC, who might be willing to try and pick me up an exclusive figurine? I'll figure out a way to make it worth your while...

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Mark Waid writing Archie? [link]

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Yeah, I hear it's killer, too, and I need to get off my sad ass and get it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oh geez, Ple, I forgot it was Mark Waid!

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

Has anyone listened to the Days of Future Past audio drama? Is it any good? I heard they're doing one for the new Ms Marvel too, and I need to know if I should anticipate or dread it.

(The X-men one is the comics version, not the movie.)

Friends of Bergen Street Comics:

After six amazing years Amy and I regret to announce that we will be closing the shop next month.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Oh, no, Tom! Not, obviously, that I know that shop at all, but the loss of any brick-and-mortar bookstore is a sorrow. At least it sounds like they have plans for some kind of ongoing existence as a press if not a physical store?

On a completely other Other Media topic... I just finished S1 of Daredevil and loved it rather a lot despite having zero previous knowledge of the character or his world. So what of the considerable amount of written and drawn Daredevil should I be seeking out (or are there any storylines/writers I need to avoid) between now and whenever S2 happens to get fully caught up on the history and texture of his life and Hell's Kitchen and where it all falls in the bigger Marvel 'verse?
