I'm trying to figure out the same thing. Does Marvel Unlimited include new releases, or is it just back issues?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Just back issues immediately available. New releases take a while longer to be included.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

IIRC, it's six months before something shows up on MU.

The Digital Distributor Monopoly May Be Over

Amazon recently started sending out renewal contracts to various publishers, and the terms are not as favorable as Comixology’s were — they are more like Amazon’s.

So, DC is running a Big Event in April, called Convergence, where different versions of DC heroes from different continuities battle each other, leading up to a new status quo.

Today, Marvel announced a new Secret Wars event in May, where different versions of Marvel heroes from different continuities battle each other, leading to a new status quo.

Sheesh.

For reals.

But if they did that, then they couldn't do that thing where you have to buy every fucking book to make sense of what the hell is going on. Which is where the money is.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I'm more shaking my head at Marvel deciding to starting killing off (Wolverine, Deadpool) or cancel the books of (FF) the characters that Fox owns the movie rights to. It just seems really petty.

See, Plei, I think they'd actually get a lot more readers if people knew going in that A)You start here. This is where you start. There is nothing before this that you need and B)This story will end at that particular time. It will not go on into infinity. You can believe that there will be some sort of ending.

Which is much more long-term thinking than most people can/do exhibit.

Eh, that's what movies are for. ::handwaves::

Hey, has anyone charted to see if the decline and fall of the superhero comic matches up with the decline and fall of afternoon soaps? Speaking of things with more similarities than differences, once you get past the surface and all.
