aw, guys! There's so many people in the comics thread! This is really exciting!
The three people in front of me at the comics store yesterday were all buying Buffy s8. And at the comics shop in Leeds, where I was on Saturday, they had a big poster of the painting on the cover of issue two! And fialka and I were like, whoa! That's some swashbucklin' sexy, there, Mr Xander.
I have #2 in my hands, but haven't had the chance to read it yet.
At the risk of stating the obvious, man, these voices are so spot on! Duh, because Joss, but I never thought I'd get to hear this dialogue again. It's so great.
Why are you whitefonting that? It's not spoilery, and even if it were, it's past the weekend following release.

SA, I'm almost tempted to go find that comic store and make off with Xander.

I am not a comics reader. With the exception of Archie and the Gang and an occasional issue of Impulse (which isn't even his name anymore. Ptui!), I don't read comics. It doesn't compute in my pea-sized brain. But I am loving this and want more now now now.
And that letter? Well, that was the whole reason I asked where you all were talking about the comic. I laughed and laughed and laughed.
