But if the world doesn't end, I'm gonna need a note.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

YJ:

Lots of answers/revelations in this episode. Not a whole lot else, though.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Isn't that kinda weird? I think that's weird.

I have to save "weird" for stranger things than merely coincidental.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I on the other hand do apply weird quite precisely to some coincidence. If there was rhyme or reason to why three of the guys ended up on the stage at Comic Con, it wouldn't be weird, would it? It would be reasonable.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

"Weird" (for me at least) has a subtext of sinister strangeness like the Weird Sisters. Or Weird Tales.

It's not just for things which are unlikely.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

That's weird.

Nope. I don't need those overtones at all. WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT is sometimes enough to get me through. The strangeness needs no darkness.

Yeah, 'cuz obviously they are undertones.

Anyway, the dictionary favors me.

And other dictionaries have my definition. Is this where I whip it out? I'm not sure how this goes...

If you have to ask you can't play.

Naw! Go ahead whip it on me.

Also, note I said that my definition merely "favored" me. I don't think it's cut and dried, but I do think it shades that way. There is a supernatural element to its connotation.
