Has anyone read The Promise? It's the graphic novel set after ATLA and before Korra, and apparently starts right after the end of the series.

Discussion of comics, graphic novels, and more. Except for capes. No capes!

Yep. It's pretty good, though extremely short (Part 1 of 3). Gene Yang captures the voices really well (although Aang and Katara are annoyingly cutesy and call each other "sweetie" and shit), and he sets up some nice political conflicts. Plus, more Ozai fucking with Zuko!
Community meets The Avengers. Possibly avoiding every matchup I'd have made...but cool.
In the course of image-googling "Disco Nightwing" to show Tim the awesomeness of the Disco Nightwing costume, this image (Nightwing, but NOT Disco Nightwing) came up: [link]
Tim was silent for a moment, and then said "That is an incredibly well-developed ass on that man."
Me: "Mancrush?"
Him: "...I think so."
Oh, Nightwing. Is there nothing you can't do?
I love how, in the sexploitation comic art discussion, there's an "well, and Nightwing" clause, because if he had tits, they'd be up in our faces all the time, and he's just spreading it for all the viewers.
And that's why I love Nightwing.
Young Justice:
So the young girl at the beginning of the episode whose father Green Arrow and Artemis saved was supposed to be Cissie King-Jones which explains why she's not on the team in this universe. Though the exploits seemed like they inspired her.
Hey, Tardis.
Apparently some folks were surprised by the "big reveal" of Artemis' parentage though I thought they'd made it pretty obvious, previously. Well, we hadn't known why her mother went to jail before.
I was kind of surprised, but I haven't been paying strict attention. Were we supposed to have already known who her father was? Were there hints about that? For some reason her mother didn't seem to be so surprising.
And, wow, the chicks on this show seem to be willing to go to lengths. Teenaged girls ain't no joke.
I still wonder why they went with the roster they went with. I'm still not over Dick being on the team. It's just...not right. Young Justice != Teen Titans. Red Arrow should not be so much bigger than he is.
Anyone here read Old Man Logan? Is it as cracky as the synopsis would have me believe? Would you recommend it for a Wolverine fan who bailed on him when he seemed to have Jamie Madrox's power as well?
YJ:
I thought we got a lot of hints about her father previously. We knew her mother had been in jail but not that she had been a supervillain.
Of course, I may have just been remembering something said here in regards to her father which pushed it into "of course" territory whenever hints were dropped.
And I agree, it would have been nice to have Tim and Bart instead of Dick and Wally, though I do enjoy the latter's interactions.
I did like the line last week from Batman about taking Dick in as Robin to make sure he didn't turn out like him.
