Okay, after reading his recent Daredevil issues and the first two volumes of his Fantastic Four run, I am on the Mark Waid train. I thought Kingdom Come was overrated, so I was prejudiced against him, but I've come around. Has anyone read Irredeemable or Incorruptible ? They sound like really cool ideas up my alley.

Discussion of comics, graphic novels, and more. Except for capes. No capes!
Please use spoiler font for new releases until after the weekend following release.
I started both and quickly dropped them due to lack of interest (after the first issue in the case of Incorruptible), but you might have a different reaction.
I know Mark. He succeeded me as editor at Amazing Heroes (though he was only there about 4 months). But we hung out a fair amount when he was moving to L.A. then.
I met him at Comic-Con and got him to sign his first Daredevil issue, and he also embossed it in Braille! So that was cute.

Heh.
"Isn't that Liefield Syndrome?
"No L.S. shrinks your head and feet and causes sexual arousal around pouches."
I've found that the syndrome is being called brokeback. Waste of a good, well, brokeback.
I've also found a couple interesting tumblrs:
- [link] I wish she'd draw more and talk less. I know what the words are. I like seeing the actual alternatives.
- [link] Great balance of words and pics, and great pics. I like her approach to sequential art, and she's less touchy than the first artist.
eta: I can't lie, reading both of those tumblrs from tip to toe made me paranoid about my own grasp of anatomy (especially the tits and ass woman--she's really good at blocking out the form) and I had to go look and see if my most recent life drawings had room for internal organs. In my defense, the model was freakishly tiny...
