"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Here’s a nice set of Jeffery Catherine Jones scans: [link]

Wow, you can really see the Wyeth influence in his style there.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

The Comics Journal just posted Gary Groth's epic 1989 interview with Jack Kirby: [link]

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Shouldn't that be "her style"?

Exactly so. Her style.

I've just (finally) finished reading Y: The Last Man, and I'm so very sad. Why can't any of my fiction make me happy, dammit?

Have movie talks stalled? Was it last with Shia LeBeef? I wish JGL hadn't aged out. He would have been my first choice. Zac Efron's a bit pretty, but I like him.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I think Zach Levi would be great. A fan actually gave him the first trade at an event because she was campaigning for him to be in the movie, and that's how he was introduced to the series. And then it started showing up on Chuck.

He's older than JGL. So I'm gonna hold tight to my dream, then. But they're both too old, IMO.

As long as Zoe Saldana doesn't play Agent 355, though.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I had a feeling you the ending was going to make you sad. It certainly bummed me out.

If I had my druthers it would be an HBO series, not a movie.

Speaking of BKV, I just finished the first volume of Runaways. I'm really liking it so far. How does it fare when other writers take it over (without getting into specifics)?

Joss Whedon's run was not well received, but I think some of it had to do with the fact that his issues were super late. Personally, I enjoyed his story.

Terry Moore's run is SO BAD. He doesn't seem to get the book at all, and the art is all wrong. I haven't bothered to buy it. I may buy it for completism's sake at some point. Maybe.

Kathryn Immonen's run is definitely an improvement. She's no BKV, but I think she got the book. Plus, the art is better.

It's on indefinite hiatus or something right now; I have no idea whether it's ever coming back. She was mum on it at Comic-Con last year.
