Well some friends of Buffy played a funny joke and they took her stuff and now she wants us to help get it back from her friends who sleep all day and have no tans.

ita, I don't know where I read this, but I feel like it was retconned that he always had red hair but dyed it dark brown when he was Robin. (Possibly he dyed it because Batman made him?)

I swear I read that in one of the comics, because I can't imagine I would just dream that up in my head.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

And then he dyed in a white streak? So confusing.

Anyone reading Flashpoint? What's up with it? Any good?

I have had the hair question cleared up in my reading of Batman: Black Glove. You are absolutely right, Steph. Then he mentions the Lazarus pit gave him a white streak, and then the colourist goes on to not give him a white streak for the next couple of issues.

It's really weird seeing him red-headed. I keep thinking he's Allen or West.

Oh, *that's* where I read it!

Still, I dislike the red hair immensely.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I thought his hair reminded me of Ra’s’. (Ra’s’s? Ra’s?)

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Ra’s’. (Ra’s’s? Ra’s?)

this has to have come up before. Somewhere it must be canon.

Pretty sure it's come up *here* before. Buffistas and punctuation? We're going to discuss it. (Teal'c, I am looking at you, buddy.)

Yeah, I don't get the point of retconning him into a redhead. You want to liven up the Robin landscape, give Damian brown hair.

I am very much enjoying my re-immersion into comics right now. Previously I hadn't liked Grant Morrison's work much (I know, I know--I just didn't like what he did on the X-Men), but it seems he's the go to guy for the characters I want to read.

And I also realised I hadn't finished Y: The Last Man. Miraculously I'm still unspoilt, so I'll be polishing off the last deluxe book of that.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I got ridiculously angry at the DC Comics iPad app/store, because they don't have the first 8 issues of The Sandman available now. The only issues there are 34, 35, and 44. Dammit, I want the first 8!

(I also want both Death miniseries for the iPad, but realize that won't happen. Grrr. )

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Barry Windsor-Smith did a portfolio of five Conan characters back in '75. Here's a gorgeous rendition of the evil wizard Thoth Amon.

I want to live in that evil wizard city!
