Yeah, I could do that, but I'm paralyzed with not caring very much.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

I'm thinking his brain would have already exploded due to the dozens (hundreds?) of slayers running around unfettered and unWatched.

1800 identified, 500 working with Buffy's group (per the comic)

Giles wouldn't have said that. He totally would have said, "I know. I am, as they say, The Man."

Okay, look SnootyPants McGrammarian...

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Giles can't take all the credit—after all, Buffy died at ages 16 and 20 under his watch. She just turned out to not be as good at staying dead as all the previous Slayers.

I have my Season 8 #1. I have read it. I am SO FRIGGIN' HAPPY TO HAVE NEW BUFFY IN MY LIFE!!!!!

Also, as with pretty much all single issue comics, it was too short. Over far too soon.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

You're not wrong. Seriously, why can't everything be a TPB right away? I want the whole story now.

I'm just the opposite—I want it in nice, appetite-whetting chunks stretched out over the length of the year that will make me eager for more every weekmonth.

Art Crawl!!!

I keep thinking of it as the "new episode."

Oh, I'm down with that, but each new episode only feels like a fifteen minute act. And the end of issue one definitely felt like the first commercial break.
