A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

(i am so happy to have a new buffy to nitpick. le sigh)

I know, -t! I did the math -- on my fingers, so it's gotta be right, ha! -- and she was 15 in fall of 1997, her bday's in November, and turned 16 in 1997, turned 17 the night she lost her virginity to Angel.

Crap. She's 26. She'll turn 27 in November 2007.

26 seems a lot younger than 27.

What is even happening?

Buffy's birthday is in late January/early February. The show premiered on March 10, 1997. She was already 16 then, so she's 26.

I have to wonder if Joss is writing IR time. It's been 3 years since BTVS went off the air *sob* and Buffy's convo with Dawn intimates that Dawn is ready to start college now.

Dawn showed up at the beginning of season 5 (Fall, 2000) and she was 14. She mightn't be starting college, so much as continuing it.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I know! I'm still just basking in the glow of having more Buffy and not doing much analysis, yet.

So much to absorb.

Eta: Dawn was a freshman in high school in season 7, right? And that was 4 years ago, so (unless she took a year off or transferred or it's not 2007 in the Buffyverse) she should be getting ready to start her sophomore year.

Lalalala....DAwn was 16 in 2003, so yeahm she's freakin' 20 now?!

Oh, that is so not right.

(Dawn waited til her 20's to have sex? That doesn't jibe what Dawn's impulsiveness, and little Miss Me 'tude. Oh, wait, maybe not. How do we know Kenny was the 1st? We just know Buffy THINKS Kenny was the first.)

Heh. I was calculating Buffy's age using difference [wrong] assumptions and ALSO coming up with 26. Hooray for the cancellation of errors.

What is even happening?

I don't think Dawn was starting her freshman year at the beginning of season 7. It was the first year of the rebuilt Sunnydale High, but I don't think it was her first year of high school, because there were comment (in text) about having been at another district's school in the years that Sunnydale was without a high school. I don't know if they referred to her grade in season 5. I think though, that she was probably a sophmore in season 7.

She had to be a sophomore, cause Season 6 Buffybot was being prepped to get through the Back to School P/T Day. And it was for freshman year.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Also, I have to wonder what Willow is doing, and where the hell the Slayers got the money for a CASTLE and a HELICOPTER and global sat uplinks?!

The Watchers Council got blowed up, but their bank accounts didn't.

Or, the answer to one question is the answer to the other.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Re: Buffy's age.

It's almost too bad the Council did get blowed up real good. I would have loved to see Quentin Travers' face when she hit her twenty-somethingth birthday.

"She's...how old? Really? Well, Rupert that's..."

"I know. I am The Man, as they say."
