My only reaction to this week's Young Justice is: Holy shit, Mera is BAD ASS.
No kidding.
Oh, and it looks like they gave away Artemis' identity.
I should have known to check her real name and see if it mapped to any existing DC characters. Huh.
I'd read the same rumor about Aqualad, and this episode did nothing to disuade it.
Oh, I also liked the bit with Garth and Kaldur about each being the option to be Aqualad and one of them choosing to do so and the other staying behind in Atlantis. Nice nod to the normal continuity.
Could have done without the obvious
love triangle
though.
Anyone else checked out Morning Glories, the hot new thing? It's like
Runaways
meets
Lost
by way of
The Prisoner.
It's very fun and interesting so far, and pretty fucked up.
Marvel has a new
Venom
title (#1 came out yesterday), drawn by Tony Moore (aka Walking Dead's Tony Moore), who happens to live in this area (not Cincinnati, but fairly close in Indiana). I did not realize this until recently, but Chatty!co-worker is really good friends with Tony Moore and goes over to draw in his studio and stuff about once a week.
So anyway, Tony did a signing last night of
Venom
#1 at the comic store that Chatty goes to, so I have a signed copy of
Venom
#1 on my desk. Pretty sweet.
(I do not have time to read it until I get home, because work is INSANE. [Although apparently I have time to post about it.])
Since I have not been keeping up with the Marvel universe, finding out who Venom is (spoiler:
Flash Thompson
) blew my mind.
It had to happen sooner or later, because every single acquaintance in Peter Parker's life is either a villain or currently being held captive by one.
Owen and I made a custom Lego Venom last night! I can't find it to take a picture, though.

Oh my gosh, if you find it, could I show Chatty the picture to show to Tony Moore?
Sure! He was playing with it last night so I just need to dig it up.
Nifty! How do you get that detail on the Lego people? I assume a teeeeeeeny brush.
Very teeny. And sometimes, you can use a fine point Sharpie. It should be up on my FB page. I'm having trouble getting a link.
I sent it via FB and gmail, Teppy.
