THING vs. THOR
Jack Kirby, a working-class Jew from the Lower East Side, had his greatest successes in comics drawing blond, blue-eyed gentiles like Captain America and Thor. His most autobiographical creation was the golem-like Thing, who was constantly thwarted trying to find a cure for his grotesque appearance.
Eh, Ben could wipe the floor with Thor in a game of poker or a practical joke war. And really, aren't those the important arenas of competition?

I finished the last book of Scott Pilgrim last night. I really liked the series, and am waiting impatiently for the movie.
I agree with P-C that book 5 is pretty depressing, but in context I like it, and I really liked the Kim Pine bits.
