Remember, remember/the fifth of November/the Gunpowder Treason and Plot/I see no reason/Why Gunpowder Treason/Should ever be forgot.

Kalshane, at the time YJ launched Impulse, Superboy and Robin all had their own series, so PAD had to use the costumes they had in their main books...

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I'm not blaming him for the costumes, CaBil (and he's a writer, not an artist anyway), I just think some of them are pretty silly-looking.

I do have to say I'm impressed with how DC managed to update the Robin costume to make it actually look cool (which the original costume very much was not) but still be recongizable as Robin. Poor Dick Grayson spent a lot of time wearing some terrible costumes between Robin and the original Nightwing costume.

I've made it through the Sins of Youth crossover and into Empress joining the team. The remaining characters have grown on me, and I do like Cissie and Cassie's friendship. I also like that Cissie's mother has become less of a caricature now that her daughter has given up on the superhero business. I'm also glad the Fiit and Maad are starting to get more to do beyond being a bad pun and randomly showing up to yell at the team.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I got fun mail today! Yay, thanks, DJ! Atomic Robo was a hoot as expected, and Maintenance was also pretty amusing.

Also, I just finished Batman Beyond! Now on to JL/JLU!

One of these days, once I actually complete my collection and have some free time (ha!) I'd like to watch the DCAU all the way through from the beginning, since I didn't really start watching any of the series fulltime until Justice League came out, so I've ended up jumping all around the release order in my viewing (and I'm sure there's vast swatches of B:TAS that I haven't actually seen.)

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Now on to JL/JLU!

LOVE this series. I'm so impressed with the voice casting, particularly Bats and Superman. And Lex Luthor, of course.

That's what I've been doing since, oh, last August. (I'm only watching the major series, though, not the spin-offs. I did watch an episode of Static Shock that was a Superman crossover and kind of wish I hadn't because they fucked up a character I liked.)

P-C, I'm aware. I should have worded my post better. It's a good plan.

Yeah, I've encountered the occaisional episode of Static Shock or Zeta Project channel surfing and they never caught my interest. I knew there were some crossover episodes of Static Shock, but I never felt compelled to find those episodes. Static does make a brief appearance in JLU, though.

And you'll be happy to know that JL/JLU does get back to the continuity level of Superman: TAS, though it takes awhile. (However, it does pick up with humanity kind of looking at Superman sideways because of the events at the ends of S:TAS.)

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

If you haven't yet, P-C, now would be a good time to watch the Batman: TAS movies, especially Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker.

Oh, I watched that. It was great. As was Batman: Mask of the Phantasm.

Hurrah!

He was brainwashed, man, come on! Give him a break.
