Another social casualty...

The message I received from TFAW on 3/7 said the following:

****
Thank you for ordering Buffy Season Eight #1 However, we need like to let you know that shipments for this title will be slightly delayed.

Originally scheduled to ship on March 7th, a problem at the printer has caused a delay in our shipment. With this change, we will begin shipping issue #1 to advance order and subscription customers on March 21st.

We would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. However, this means that you'll still be able to order any additional copies at our 20% OFF ADVANCE ORDER DISCOUNT until then! We're also still taking orders for a special edition Buffy 8 #1 VARIANT COVER (pictured right), limited to one copy per customer!

We thank you for your patience as you await this much-anticipated title, and look forward to bringing you the next installments of Season Eight.

****

So, I'm still waiting for mine too.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

I got the same message from TFAW, but I couldn't wait so I went out and bought the variant cover.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yep, that was it. I can't figure why this printer delay only affected TFAW. I might go out and buy the variant cover. If it stops snowing.

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

lisah, that's right. It was the comment about "access to a weapons lab" that made me think so. Warren's one of the few characters who's more hardware-oriented than mystical.

Although, hm. Adam also fits that description, and at least he didn't wind up incinerated.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Heh. Maybe Amy's boyfriend is Riley. Weapon's lab a definite yes there.

Punishingly Intricate

Frankenbuddha, that was my other guess!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

It could be Adam too, if she re-animated him through magic. Did we ever see what happened to his body after Buffy removed his power source?

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

I have a feeling Mr. Hovering Feet is a new character, as is Amy's boyfriend. In fact, while I like seeing old friends, I'd feel a little disappointed if Buffy and Co. go off into the Big Wide World, but only run across the same old folks from Sunnydale.

Now tagless for your comfort.

My comic shop was sold out. *sigh* I put in an order. It's supposed to be in on Wednesday. This has been a weekend of disappointments.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

They massively underprinted the first issue.

Also, Joss Whedon's co-writing/'directing' an Angel season 6 post-NFA series, it appears. So we shall be gettin' new BTVS, ATS and Firefly in comic form.
