What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Oh, kickass! I am almost done with the New Batman Adventures DVDs, and then I have to figure out how to write a post about the series.

I'm halfway through Kingdom Come, and it's not really holding my interest. It seems more like a thought experiment than a comic.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Did anyone else read B.P.R.D.: War on Frogs #4 this week? It may be the first of the Hellboy-setting comics that's ever given me a chill down my spine.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I just picked that up today, Matt. Haven't had time to read it yet.

I also got a paperback copy of Ronin. I haven't read that in 20 years so I needed to own it. The artwork isn't stellar but the story is still pretty awesome.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I love the artwork of Ronin. It's some of my favourite Frank Miller. I painted this on a T-shirt, I was so full of the love. I much prefer his use of black space in this than in Sin City, and I always love Lynn Varley's colours.

My pusher got me a collection of Alan Moore's DCU work for Christmas! It includes both Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow? and The Killing Joke. Sweet! I've read the latter but not the former.

I tend to prefer stronger lines, however, that cover, ita is amazing.

Isn't the Willow one-shot coming out this month?

IO9 lists their favourite covers of the decade.

Some of them look pretty normal to me, and some of them are great. I haven't been involved enough in comics the past few years to have an informed opinion, but my eye was caught by covers like this and this.
