Destroying their collections?
That's what the news said. "Many" may be an exaggeration. SEVERAL I would believe.
I did find 3 auctions on Ebay of entire Archie comic collections. Irked collectors ditching the entire franchise.
I think it's a bit goofy. But then, I am not a comic collector. I'm a fan of Neil Gaiman (specifically), Frank Miller (specifically), and anything where the Joker gets good lines. That's *it*.
So, I read about this in more detail on Wikipedia. Do the collectors understand this is an alternate universe kind of thing and likely not to stick?
I don't get it.
I'm sure these are the same people who thought Superman would stay dead. Or Capt. America. Or Batman ...
Or fucking Barry Allen.
They did finally bring him back, right? I swear I heard they had done that after promising never ever ever.

They did. Fucking Dan DiDio. (I say this as a hypocrite with 2 months' worth of DC comics sitting next to me, ready to be packed for vacation reading.)
Or fucking Barry Allen.
Well, yeah, but they held out around 20 years, and at least it's proving to be a good story. Bruce Wayne, Steve Rogers, Clark Kent back in the day -- they were transparently temporary.
Okay, I have just read the second Serenity graphic novel, and I have no idea what the fuck actually HAPPENED.
And, seriously, following plots is not normally something I find tricky. But that was some exceptionally shit storytelling, on top of the shoddy colouring. Or so it seemed to me.
Shocking News! Bruce Wayne is not really dead !!!! [link]
Who could have predicted such a stunning turn of events?
NO WAY.
