What is ''The Boys''? I was just sorting through all the pulls I picked up yesterday, and an issue of it was among them. I have no idea why.
It's a Garth Ennis series about a team whose purpose is to kill superheroes who get out of line. A lot of my friends love it, and some actively recommend against it.
The Boys is pretty fantastic. You'll probably like it if you enjoyed Preacher.

A company of hundreds spends millions of dollars to create a new series of weapons only to have the company CEO steal it all and fly around new york wearing a Halloween costume. In this economic downturn, it seems truly tragic for a company to nearly go bankrupt because their fourth-quarter profits were spent "trying to kill Spider-Man."
A UK publisher is going to do a series of Angel/Buffy magazines each focusing on a specific character that come with a painted lead figurine of that character. For more info check out here. It looks like they will be only available in comic shops.
