I like the artwork, but I'm not nuts about the story. I know Angel tends to be a more serious storyline, but even the show had some funny in it. This was just a little too unrelentingly grim.
Other Media 2: It's Astounishing!

Byrne really doesn't do funny unless it involves Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm.
Torque, did you see it in Imax? My comic book guy was driving down to Madison to see it in Imax.
Oddly enough, I saw "Watchmen" in Madison.
And more recent: I have just picked up my comic book box after more than a month spent either on the road, buried in work or paying for new brakes.
Wish me luck ...
Thanks to P-C, Scola, and lisah, I've read the first 3 volumes of Scott Pilgrim and am awaiting the library to get me 4 and 5.
I love saying the band's name out loud ("SEX BOB-OMB! SEX BOB-OMB!!!")
Heeee, awesome. I'm glad you're enjoying it.
When I was in Toronto last month, I went to The Beguiling, which just happens to be next door to Honest Ed's.
It's every bit as horrible as they depict it in Scott Pilgrim. (Except that it's still intact).
The Scott Pilgrim movie site is live.
Just bought and read Wolves at the Gate and it was almost entirely awesome, imho. My only problem was the Rennee storyline - clearly they're going for an eventual Buffy/Xander thing in Season 8, and I'm good with that, but I'm less thrilled by what happened to Buffy and Xander's respective love interests.
God, though, the Buffy/Willow stuff cracked me up. And the Xander/Dracula stuff had me hooting in Starbucks. Also, the Twilight-reveal...oh no, just scratching his neck made me laugh out loud.
I quite want fic. Is there fic? Does anyone know about any good Season 8 fic out there?
No one else reads 100 Bullets and would like to discuss the final issue, would they?
