I look more rad than Lutheranism

I should pick up Farscape, since literally half my titles all JUST ENDED (Blue Beetle, Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Birds of Prey). Goddamn, man. I'm down to JLA and Teen Titans and Buffy.

Oh! But Comic-Book Guy turned me on to Incognito, by Ed Brubaker, which is all kinds of noir and fucked-up: [link] I like it a LOT.

Incognito looks coool. I'm going to have to check that out.

It's sort of like throwing Watchmen and Sin City in a blender. Sort of. Well worth checking out, if you can find #1 (it sold out right away and had to be reprinted; the issue I have is the reprint, pimped to me by my comic-book guy when I didn't have enough reach the minimum credit-card amount).

I bought issue 1, but didn't particularly care for it. Not bad, but not really my thing. If anyone wants it, I could ship it to them.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I think I was the first person to interview Peter David, back in 1986 for Amazing Heroes. So it's pretty much all my fault.

Weird to think he's been in the biz for 23 years.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Oh, as usual, dear.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

... well.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

The design and quality control approval process on that must have been very interesting...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

S_D fallout continues: Apparently LJ's Abuse Team is sending letters about Marvel content posted to the comm, and threatening suspension if the letters are reposted anywhere.

Man, if LJ ever cleared out all the copyrighted content posted in it, there'd be a lot of sad puppies. Including me.
