News regarding the Superman/Doomsday animated movie:
Gone is the talent behind Justice League Unlimited. Tim stated that he really wanted to differentiate these projects from the past serialized shows. To that end, he revealed three of the main characters in the story and the talent attached to them. Adam Baldwin will be portraying the Man of Steel himself, Clark Kent. Anne Heche will be taking on the role of Lois Lane. James Marsters, known as Spike to many, will be doing a new take on Lex Luthor. Timm specifically noted that the writing team had reconstructed and analyzed Luthor to find a suitable role for this project.
Oh, and various DC Writers are going to provide commentary on Smallville's season six dvds.
Chloe might appear in the comics??
Chloe might appear in the comics??
That's so so so SO far from the most cracked-out thing that DC has ever done (PUNCHED A HOLE IN REALITY, BITCHES!!!), it almost doesn't register as weird.
I don't consider it weird -- I consider it exciting. Chloe is my favorite Smallville character. . . well, outside of Lex. And Lex is no longer what he was.
I've been hearing the rumor about Chloe in the comics for a while now. I'd like to think this means they won't kill her or make her insane by the end of the series...but it doesn't, really.
Well, Harley, Mercy and certain members of the Gotham PD made the jump from the DCAU over to the comics, so bringing in Chloe in from Smallville doesn't make me scratch my head too much. Especially since, as sumi says, she's pretty much the best character on the show right now as the Luthors have lost their magic.
While I'm all for Jossverse actors getting more work, I'm disappointed they're separating that movie from the DCAU continuity.
The Onion on Captain America's Assassination:
"Yet another intelligence failure by S.H.I.E.L.D.. How many more screwups must we endure before Bush fires Executive Director Nicholas Fury?"
"But who will avenge him? If only there were a group of 'avengers,' if you will, organized for that purpose."
I am unreasonably excited to see Buffy on the new comics list for this week.
TFAW has informed me that Buffy #1 will be late due to problems with the printer.
Why does this not surprise me? I mean, it's just fate, innit?
