Produced by the multiple Emmy Award winning animation legend Bruce Timm, Wonder Woman is an origin story and features a stellar celebrity voice cast including Keri Russell (Waitress, Felicity), Nathan Fillion (Firefly), Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2), Virginia Madsen (Sideways), Rosario Dawson (Sin City), Oliver Platt (The West Wing) and David McCallum (NCIS).

I didn't. But Steve Trevor gets a lot more interesting if he's voiced by Nathan.
I had heard something about it ages ago.
Did Joss and Bruce go to college together or something? They share so many actors.
Best Guess (via pure speculation) is Andrea Romano is Buffy/Angel/Firefly fan. Or it could be a friend of a friend sort of deal. I don't know.
It is interesting how certain animation studios tend to cast from genre TV shows. The DCAU features lots of ME actors. Gargoyles featured almost the entire cast of ST: TNG at one point or another. I'm sure there's other examples I'm missing.

Hmmm. Possibly, but I suspect even moreso that there's an agent/casting agent connection working here, especially considering Fillion was also in "Waitress" with Russel.

Could be. But NF has already been cast by Romano before, when he played Vigilante on Justice League Unlimited. Though I agree the fact that both Keri Russel and NF were cast after being in Waitress together probably isn't a coincidence either.
I was responding more to the number of Jossverse alum that have appeared in DC animated projects than this movie specifically.

Oh, I understood that, and indeed, NF as Vigilante strengthens my suspicions somewhat. If someone has an account over at WhoRepresents.com or somesuch, it might be worth looking up who handles some of these actors -- it may explain why they seem to move in packs.
(I used to have a WhoRepresents account, when I had professional reasons to have it, but it's long lapsed, and I believe it actually still costs money and I'm not fanatic enough to do that at the moment. :)
(And yes, I know the URL can read "Whore Presents.")
Did Buffy come out this week?
(Haven't ventured near my comic shop.)
I think it comes out Wednesday.
