OTOH, the best DC title that I hadn't been reading but am now? The current iteration of Blue Beetle. Good stuff, yo.

It is one of the few I will mis when I kill my box. It's been AWESOME.

I'm up through #13 or #14 -- the Mother box one. So. Good.

t edit Another title I'm loving is a Vertigo title -- "Vinyl Underground." They're only up to #6 or #7, and it's rocking my socks.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Does anyone know what Alan Moore is doing these days?

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Does anyone know what Alan Moore is doing these days?

Cursing Hollywood and worshipping a sock puppet.

He's supposed to be doing another volume of LoEG for Top Shelf. Apart from that, he's been talking about another novel for years, so I wish it would turn up.

Tea. Out. Nose. OW.

But that's the most accurate description, it has to be said.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Has anyone read the graphic novel, "The Surrogates"? Is it any good? The film version is going to be made here in Worcester.

"what's left when you take biology and sociology out of the picture?" "An autistic hermaphodite." -Allyson

I wasn't really impressed by it. Mostly setting plausibility problems, I think. I'm kind of a dick about that sort of thing, mostly because my writing style starts with world building before going into character and whatnot. The art was mediocre, and I didn't really click with the characters much, but the main thing that bugged was the setting. Seemed like the writers didn't really think through the logical implications of an entire society based on the universal adoption of waldoed robot surrogates for social interaction. Just couldn't buy it.

There's no way to post this without giving away what I'm spoiling, because if it's too vague, you'll have to click to see what I'm talking about, and maybe you don't want to be spoiled for that, but if I make even a teeny tiny hint, most comics fans will know what I'm referring to.

But here goes (BIG CHARACTER SPOILER BEHIND LINK): Yup, DC Comics is bringing back an old favorite.

DAMN, they suck. Massively.

Yep, pretty much obvious. Grant Morrison - shame on you.
