Other Media 2: It's Astounishing!
Discussion of comics, graphic novels, and more. Except for capes. No capes!

When I read about the uproar, I think about what Captain Jack would say: "You people and your quaint little categories." Heh.
When I read about it I was, like, this is on the news? I'm sorry? Did somebody just stop genocide in Darfur?
I'm with you, Kevin. I just don't understand all the drama.
It's Astounishing!
Hee.
What Kevin Said. Also Frank about the farce.
I mean, when I stop to think, some of the bad reaction shouldn't surprise me. Like a lot of us, I tend to hang in the sex-positive, "sexuality is fluid" parts of fandom, and, for all we criticize, the Buffistae tend to be pretty positive on Buffy (and Buffy) in general(The scans_daily post, particularly, is full of people saying "This is just what I've been expecting since Joss ruined Buffy in Season Three!").
What actually surprises me is that there's coverage from even the online section of mainstream media. I mean, ABC News? The NYT? Is someone at the AP wire a fan, or did Joyce Millman bribe somebody?
In any case, I probably won't be doing an Anya, both because I missed the chance for callbacks("This is, of course, ENTIRELY PLATONIC post-coital cuddling ") and because I can't possibly improve on the bedroom farce.
