Serenity: Better Days #3 cover . . . there's just something off about these covers, isn't there?
The Serenity cover looks like what someone would draw if they were trying to draw a parody of Firefly.
Dark Horse describes the cover artist as "critically acclaimed".
Thank goodness somebody else is drawing the actual story.

I noticed on the Dark Horse site that they aren't even showing the second cover. . . like it's so disturbing that they're afraid to show it to us.
It's wrong. In... ways. Kaylee looks all hopped up on something. And River's head has been replaced by a chubby Lucy Liu.
FWiW, Adam Hughes is a highly acclaimed comic book artist, and I do think the painting technique he's using shows a lot of skill. He just happened to pick extremely freaky facial expressions for the women on this particular cover.
Yay! Doctor Who comic! Not sure about the art, but the writer seems to have Ten's voice down pretty well. And next issue seems to be a Digital Devil Saga crossover!
Dammit! I went in yesterday before my guy had my pull ready and I didn't realize Doctor Who was coming in. I only got Mouse Guard.
I guess I can wait until next week. Is the new Buffy coming out next week?
