"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

So - does anyone remember when Robin (Dick Grayson edition) and Batgirl fought the ghost of Benedict Arnold (who was under the command of THE DEVIL)?

Can you guess what year that one came out? Oh, and Dick was in college in DC (or visiting DC) and Babs was either working for someone in Congress or WAS in Congress.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Can you guess what year that one came out?

Was Prez the president?

I bop to Wittgenstein. -- Nutty

I had those World's Finest super sons issues.

In this context, I'm suddenly unsure if you intend 'had x issues' to mean that you owned those comics, or that they scarred you for life. Or both, which having looked at those links seems highly likely.

Heh, no (or at least they didn't mention who was).

I've got an issue of that somewhere too (or did). It was a riff on the Fischer/Spasky tournament (although decidedly more colorful).

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Owned them. I loved them at the time. They were "relevant" and I was 12. It was a whole big 70s relevant thing. (cf., Green Lantern and Green Arrow)

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Chynna Clugston (nee, Clugston-Major), she of the very mod/anime styled comic Blue Monday is going to be doing a Legion of Superheroes comic.

She's already done an issue of Teen Titans Go!

I love her stuff.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hey! J Torres! He used to be Colin's roommate. World==small.

There's a surprising amount of comics/TV crossover in LA.

They were roommates back in Montréal, though.

John Rogers is the textbook comics/TV/Montréal guy. J and Colin are both one short.

I wonder if J and John know each other...I doubt they did back at school, although John and Colin did.

That just emphasizes the TV/comics synergy.

Is "synergy" still a word?
