When I did my jury duty, there was no mention of God or the bible anywhere. Witnesses swore that they'd tell the truth, end of story. It was simply not an issue.

I never had the hi-tech ultra sounds, but I did have an ultra-sound the day Julia was born, because they were going to induce me (after spending two months on partial rest, because she nearly came early). I could see her facial features so clearly, I really had an excellent idea of what she was going to look like. It was like being spoiled for an episode by reading the wildfeed.

I'm pretty sure it was when I was on the jury in DC, and they just said to everyone, "Do you swear or affirm to tell the truth" etc. I think they had to raise their right hand and not do anything with the other.
