Speaking of cars...
sarameg, how easy/hard is it to navigate to and around Fells Point? I'm contemplating a trip because I'm having people for Twelfth Night and that seems to be the closest bakery that makes a Kings cake.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Happy Day of Shriftiness!! I hope it's wonderful!
Hooray for Kat and Lori announcing the twins! Isn't it lovely news?
My boss said it could be any number of weird things, like a warning buzzer that's somehow defective so instead of a buzz you hear a whine. We figure you'll just have to take it in. The fact that it's continuous should make it easier for them to find.
My car's CD player started making really strange noises when my battery was dying.
The battery was replaced a few months ago, so we ruled that out. And the car doesn't have any trouble starting, which should be the biggest pull on the battery.

I certainly hope so. I'm bringing it in tomorrow morning. Thanks for all of the help.

I'd say it is pretty easy. Most everything is clustered along Broadway, the main drag. I'm usually coming from the north, which means I just take 83 south until it turns into Presidents Street and hang a left on Eastern. The only pain is parking (please note I hate parallel parking) but if you don't mind walkinga bit it isn't bad.
What's the bakery?
Also, am I the only one who went to an Eddie Izzard place? "I'm covered in BEEEEEEES!"
No, no you're not. Unsurprisingly.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SHRIFT!!!!
YAY FOR TWIN NEWS!!
I was thinking of combining it with food shopping and parking at the Whole Foods and walking from there. (Or, you know, saving the 3-hour round trip and baking one myself.) I usually go to WF and TJ's in Annapolis, so I guess it's not that much further.
The woman at the bakery (Bonaparte Breads) guessed it was about a 15-minute walk from Whole Foods. I used to have friends that lived right around the corner, which is how I knew there was a French bakery there.
I have it on good authority that babies don't typically burst out of your chest.
There were a few moments when I'd have gladly gone that route.
but that day, Allyson was talking about possible sad family news and having to stay close to home
Heh. My sad family news was a call from Tim that one of the beagles had run away and was missing for hours. It was cold and rainy and Harrison is not very bright.
So Tim was beside himself and plastering the hood with pics of Harrison. I feared the worst.
He got a call the next morning, a pet grooming place found him wandering the corner of Western and Hollywood - meaning he got across two very busy streets- and picked him up. They put him in a crate(!) and Tim ran down and found him snoozing contentedly in the crate.
Happy Birthday shrift!
Congrats on the parasitic aliens, Kat & Lori!
