Well, because of the suit they changed the TOS:

In determining priority for shipping and inventory allocation, we may utilize many different factors, including without limitation, the number and type of DVDs you rent through our service, the subscription plan you select, as well as other uses of our service by you. For example, if all other factors are the same, we give priority to those members who receive the fewest DVDs through our service.

Which, y'know... as an extremely low-frequency user, I don't think is all that unfair, or for that matter an unsound business practice.

Turnaround time also depends on how close you are to a distribution center, and what you're getting.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

You guys made me hungry, but I don't have any Indian food in the house. So I had pierogies instead. That's close, right?

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

That's close, right?

Well, if you consider about 3500 miles close...

(Distance between Warsaw and Mumbai--yes, I googled it!)

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Tiny American Flags for... oh, wait.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Throttling blows. I kept three DVDs for most of December. I hope this means I'm off The List.

ETA but it's still better than Blockbuster

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I suggest Nutty's Mrs. Miniver solution. But it has to be that movie, you see.

I am one with the Insomnia tonight. Slept about three hours and then... bang, awake. Chumley is sure that it's morning and he shoudl be fed.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I do remember being seriously pissed off at my mother for putting me in the morning session instead of afternoon because I would miss Captain Kangaroo. I just couldn't understand why she would do such a thing to me.

I was similarly upset about having to miss Underdog. Though I've always been under the impression the school chose which session to schedule kids for, though it's entirely possible my 5-year-old self leapt to that conclusion and my mother saw no reason to disuade me.
