Buffy. When I saw you stop the world from, you know, ending, I just assumed that was a big week for you. Turns out I suddenly find myself needing to know the plural of 'apocalypse.'

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

so, mac started school today. there were tears, but I left him at 9 after staying 45 minutes in the room with him. The school counselor kept me from leaving earlier. She didn't want me to leave until he had completely stopped crying for a period of time. my mom picks him up at 2:30.

Noodle. Sounds like a good precedent was set with going to church, so that's good.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Jade(d) is the new black.

Cash, I need to tag this.

Hoping for easy transitions for mac and msbelle.

Last night I dreamt of moving. WTF?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Last night I dreamt of moving

To the Bay Area?

brillig

I'm morbidly obese and just can't bring myself to care as much as I should, health issues notwithstanding. However, the conversation has made me realize what I don't hear by being the only woman in the entire department. I'll hear sports talk, but none of the guys ever bitches about their weight. The worst it gets is when they start the "My computer's processor is faster than yours" thing. Then I just snicker and think about saying, "Look, just drop trou and settle it already."

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

She weighs somewhere around 135 - 140 and is 5'2"

BMI is a load of kaka. When I weighed 142 at 5'3" the Navy said I was overweight. I volunteered for a body fat measuring trial at North Island and they measured me four different ways getting anything from 24-28% bodyfat. The most accurate means of measuring bodyfat is through hydrostatic weighing in a water tank. At 142 I was 24% bodyfat in the tank. I wore a size 10 at the time because of the type of things I was doing physically that affected my shape. There's been times when I weighed 142 and wore a size 8. I really hate the current BMI standards.

Heh. I think it was a local move. There was only a pick-up involved. It was mostly packing boxes while I was trying to finish up work on a show.

It's no wonder my neck is a giant mass of tension.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Pursuant to nothing, I was surfing on the TV yesterday and ran across something on E! which was about photo retouching. In addition to the "Hiz hed is pastede on yey!" stuff (sadly they did not use that phrase) there was a soundbite from Tyra Banks.

Who said something like, "If people could see my butt, where it looks like somebody took their hands and squeezed my butt really hard, and it stayed that way --! But I have retouching so nobody sees my cellulite."

I would be interested in looking at that unretouched butt. Just for curiosity's sake.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Cash, I need to tag this.

Tag away, aurelia, tag away.

I hope mac's experience at school is kick ass and fun, msbelle. I'm sure he'll be so excited he'll be wanting to go on weekends. (This is what I did when I went to kindergarten.)
