GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I already posted in Bitches, but all the Gus posts here got my allergies going again. He will be missed.

New Years party went well, though everyone left pretty early this year. I was in bed by 1:30am, which was great due to me having to work today, but disappointing from a party standpoint. Still, good times were had by all.

Like Connie, I'm at work, theoretically doing tech support, though the phone hasn't rung once. (Though ours are actually working. Just not being utilized.) We're supposed to get paid time and a half, plus get a paid day off later, though considering my last 3 paychecks have been screwed, I'm less than optimistic. I need to make sure to make a printout of my time sheet at the end of the week.

I caught 5 minutes of the Rose Parade earlier. If I'd known there were going to be Stormtroopers, I would have left it on.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

My kids hated the Stormtroopers. The fire breathing dragons, on the other hand, ROCKED.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Sister is here, dog is back home, bacon has been et, sunset is gorgeous, and bellinis are going down like water. Also, I have pumpkin pancakes to last me the rest of the week. If "begin as you mean to go on" is the order of the day, 2007 is starting off okay.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Damn I missed the stormtroopers. Maybe they'll come around again after I get out of the shower.

been skimming...

Baking bacon: the way to go.

I too have burned things in a crock pot.

What is this "McNulty chat" of which you speak?

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Kevin - Sob. This veggie thing. I'm not going to make it. Half way through the first day and I'm sat thinking about bacon.

According to the play "Naked Girl On The Appian Way" by Richard Greenberg, bacon is the #1 thing that causes vegetarians to relapse. I say.. GO FOR THE BACON.

As for me, being that I have no bacon in the house, and feeling far too lazy to go out and buy bacon. I'm gonna order a bacon pizza for delivery.

Yay for the year of the Pork! YUMMY!

ok, now I gotta catch up on a ton of bitch posts too.

ETA: All these posts about Gus. makes me real sad to be the new guy, having never interacted. Sounds like he was a great guy. :: raises glass to Gus ::

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm altering my diet in the new year just like so many others. Still I don't see the need to give up bacon entirely. I'm for bacon in moderation.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Does anybody know how best to thaw out ground turkey? Is there any trick that I can try, like a microwave or something?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I thaw it in the fridge or microwave. Does your microwave have a defrost by pounds setting? That's all I do. Except usually it has that little piece of plastic stuck to it, and I thaw for a bit, then pull that bit off, then thaw for a bit more.
