Now tagless for your comfort.

msbelle, good luck with the sleep plan. It's probably tough on him--especially if he was used to sleeping with other people (or kids) in the same room. I'm not sure what sort of living situation he was in but I suspect there may have been other children in there with him. Switching to solo sleeping can be rough. I hope he can handle all the adjustments he's facing well, too.

Having slept entire nights sleeping sitting up with a kid sleeping on my chest or in my lap has taught me that some things just need to be at times.

We had a New Year's playdate this morning. I'm thinking of making a mimosa. Those two things may be related.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Happy New Year everyone!!! 2007 is...The Year of Pork, whatever that means.
BACON!

Can I cook bacon from frozen? And why did I freeze bacon in the first place?

hip deep in pie

Yikes. I was just getting ready to see Volver when I remembered I was invited to an open house today. I guess I'll take in the evening show of Volver.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You can totally cook bacon from frozen. I freeze mine and slice across the whole pack for auto-julienned bacon to include in other dishes. It's the tidiest.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I freeze bacon in two-strip packages, and it's fucking great.

I have gotten things done today! Wrote a couple of thank-you notes, put all my receipts into my check register, and paid a bill. OK, it's not much, but it's definitely a start.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Wow, I had no idea frozen bacon could be cooked.

Sob. This veggie thing. I'm not going to make it. Half way through the first day and I'm sat thinking about bacon.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Bacon strips are so thin that they thaw really quickly when you cook them.

Mmmm... bacon....
