Buffy: He ran away, right? Giles: Sort of, more. turned and swept out majestically, I suppose. Said I didn't concern him. Buffy: So a mythic triumph over a completely indifferent foe? Giles: Well, I'm not dead or unconscious, so I say bravo for me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

To our First Man Down.

Yes. This. Sad news indeed.

Had a quiet New Year's. Was chatting with a friend when we both wondered what all the screaming was about. Then I remembered to check my watch. Huh.

My internal clock is messed up by the sleeping I managed on the plane (Skelaxin+Aleve+Maxalt=naptime for ita), so I think I'll try some TiVo and see how that works out.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Er... Happy New Year? I went to bed around 11 PM and missed all the excitement.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

So, how does 2007 feel? I feel hungry, and forgot about stores being closed factor.

Well, in Somerville, it's wet with a side of extra rain, with more predicted. At least all of the snow from Saturday has now washed away.

I'm hungry, so I think some sort of breakfasty thing is in order. I think there's a donut left over from yesterday. Bulletins as things develop.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

Timelies all.

I'm on the floor in the living room, reading on T's work laptop, waiting for the drunkards to wake up. He'll probably be peeved, but it's not like we're ALL porn, and he did shuffle past me at 3-something AM and wake me up.

Heh to the French -- I guess they do have a sense of humor, Jerry Lewis to the contrary.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Sad news about Gus. Peace to his loved ones.

So this is 2007? Looks a lot like 2006.

For my first positive act of 2007, I found a phone cord with the widget-thingie that keeps their ends plugged in and substituted it for the one in my office phone that keeps coming out. Then -- and this is the significant part -- I threw out the damaged one. I feel like 2007 is off to a good start....

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Excellent, Theodosia! For my first positive act of 2007, I cooked my own breakfast. And after I eat it? I'm going to wash the dishes.
