What should I do, then? Send her a gift? Sacrifice? … Unholy fruit basket?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Well, you can't go wrong there.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

We have become part of the kitty crack mat conspiracy. Picked one up at Petco and are greatly amused by the results.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Any word on Allyson's travel travails? I need to run out for a bit and I'm not sure if the appropriate people have my cell #.

I just made a delish risotto with sugar snap peas. Yum. Tomorrow I want to make pumpkin pancakes for breakfast.

Also, discovered that those little bottles of crappy wine you can get 10 for ten bucks at the grocery store are perfect for having on hand to cook with without sacrificing a bottle (or hell, a glass) of wine I actually might want to drink.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Also for "You must buy the 100 tealights."
Best part of IKEA ever. I need like ten of those bags of tealights. Sadly it's financially ineffective to try and ship them. I sense a drive to Seattle in my future. Because those are fun for reasons other than tealights.

I just lit some candles... Mmm, tealights. Candle porn.

Ozzie is such a great kitty (when not suffering from Cat Rage). He's a big needy bowling ball of a cat. (I love Ozzie.)
I adore Ozzie too, actually. But I feel compelled for giving him shit for beating the crap out of me that one time.

Thank you so much! I'll let you know if we need to put a Rescue Allyson from O'Hare Plan into action.
I love Buffistas.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Big Family Christmas Party last night. It was wonderful.

I slept late today, ate, took a nap, ate some more. I think I may finally be recovered from the last three hell weeks at work.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

We plan to spend New Year's Eve watching PBS. Huh.

I have not heard from Allyson but, from the looks of the United Flight Status page, it seems as if she made it to Chicago and might possibly be sitting on a plane bound for LA right now.

My plan for NYE is to watch a bunch of free OnDemand movies. It seems there's a whole new TCM section now. First up, Gilda.
